Bulgaria / Official Opening

On April 4th, 2006 another country was presented at the LeuchtBox. This time, the honor of the host was given to Bulgaria. The opening ceremony was a premiere: for the first time the guests were invited to Passau’s magnificent medieval city hall. Bulgarian Ambassador H.E. Dr. Meglena Plugtschieva and Consul General Veneta Momtcheva were very impressed by the exhibition about their country. The guests were able to see the ceremony of hissing the national flag of Bulgaria via live video connection to the LeuchtBox. Bulgarian students of Passau University had provided for a range of home-cooked Bulgarian dishes which together with Bulgarian wine managed to give the guests a first glimpse into the smells and tastes of the country.
